I love this recipe for a quick lunch wether I am working from home, or it's the weekend. This is not difficult at all, and is a nice departure from a traditional grilled cheese. The brie and the fig are perfectly gooey, and if I eat it out on the deck at my little bistro table I feel like it gives me a cool french girl vibe. Enjoy! Grilled Brie & Fig Sandwich
INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Step 1: Open the bread and spread a thin layer of fig preserves on the inside of bottom of the ciabatta roll. Top with brie and arugula. Place the remaining half of the ciabatta roll on top. Step 2: Melt 1 Tbsp of butter in a pan on a low medium heat. Once it has melted, add the sandwich to the pan, move it around to coat the bottom in butter and let it and cook for 2 1/2 minutes. Step 3: When the bread is crispy and golden you'll be ready to flip it, but first use a pastry brush to coat the top of the roll with the remaining butter in the pan. Then flip the sandwich and cook for another 2 minutes until crisp and golden. Serve and Enjoy! Comments are closed.
