Holiday Simmer Pot

12/8/2024

There's nothing quite like a cozy house this time of year, and as much as I love the scent of pine, sometimes it is nice to mix it up a little.

This year I gifted all of my colleagues a glass simmer pot for just that purpose.

There are lots of variations of what to put into a simmer pot, but here is the one that I used:
Holiday Simmer Pot:
1 fresh orange, slice
1 handful of fresh cranberries
4 cinnamon sticks
4 anise stars
1 Tbsp of whole cloves
2 fresh sprigs of rosemary (which I took from my garden)
Instructions:
Add water to the pot enough to cover the ingredients.
Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer.
Add water as needed.
